Each Kota Features
Our three Kota cabins each feature a private outdoor hot tub, offering the perfect place to unwind while watching the Northern Lights dance across the Arctic sky. In addition each kota features:
One of the Kotas is featuring a private sauna and hot tub and two of the Kotas are featuring hot tub only.
Activities in Salla
No mater which season you will be visiting us, many activities are available, either directly from your accommodation or a few kilometres away. We recommend to book your activity together with your accommodation. We are here to assist you.
Reindeer
Unforgettable experience where you get to feed a reindeer and enjoy a warm snack while sleighing throw the forest. Reindeer safaris are available (3 hours or 5-6 hours tour) as well as northern light safaris.
Winter gear is provided by the organization situated 5km away from the Kota.
Skiing
Salla’s ski resort is located 2km away and guess fat, you can even come back by ski to your kota. 15 slopes are awaiting you and some are even enlightened so you get to experience skiing under the stars.
Cross country skiing is a paradise with 160km of slopes (25% lightened). Accessible by foot from the kota.
Huskies
Come and meet the crew during a husky safari. The duration is 2, 4 or 5-6 hours. During this experience you will feel the speed of the dogs and get to enjoy a warm snack while driver and passenger are exchanging roles.
Winter gear is provided by the organization situated 5km away from the Kota.
Ice Swimming
Feeling brave? Want to boost your immune system?
You can swim in the lake directly from your kota but don’t forget to have a warm sauna or a spa after that!
Winter Activities
Snowmobile safaris are available with different options. You can combine it with the visit of a reindeer farm or ice-fishing. Between 2 and 6 hours tours are available only 2km away from the Kota.
Enjoy a snowshoe walk during day time (3-4 hours) or chase the northern lights at night time. Daily trips are available 5km away from the Kota.
Hiking
Hiking trails are a must in Salla. The National Park is free to access and offers fantastic views over the valley until the Russian border. You have severals day/grill kota to enjoy a break and even the midnight sun.
Admiring the nature and the wildlife is worth doing and even better, during summer months you get to pic berries.
Biking
E-fatbikes are available for rentals as well as cruising bikes from the rentals shops located 2 and 5km away.
Mountain bikes tour to explore the national park as well as chalenging climbs to the Mount Salla are definitely worthwhile.
Don’t forget to take your picnic to stop at a kota grill to have a lunch break. They are all equiped with wood and sticks.

Lakeside
Ice fishing, ice skating or enjoying a reindeer race from the lakeside during the winter months.
When it gets warmer, enjoy a rowboat or a canoe tour, a fishing session or a swim.
